Our History
When Bloomfield Foundry opened its doors in 1965 in the heart of Iowa farm country, the company was largely engaged in making agricultural and construction equipment castings. From the very beginning, the foundry enjoyed a reputation for attention to detail and expert workmanship. The people who work at Bloomfield Foundry love what they do and it shows in our quality castings. Hard work to meet the demand for customer satisfaction was the key to rapid growth for this Midwestern foundry.
Over time, we expanded our facility to meet growing customer demands both in terms of an expanded geographical market and in product diversity. Six times the company has expanded, moving from a regional foundry selling largely to an agricultural market, to a foundry serving a multitude of industries all over the United States and even abroad.
From 5,000 square feet in 1965... to 53,000 square feet today, Bloomfield Foundry has kept pace with a changing world and has, indeed, become a supplier to casting markets well beyond its doors. Today, with 90 employees on board, Bloomfield Foundry continues to build on its foundation of excellent quality. Our employees pride themselves on quick, friendly responses to your project inquiries.
