Molding
You know that variations in chemistry, metal temperature and other factors can greatly affect the properties of gray iron... even though the variations are slight. At this critical point in the process, Bloomfield Foundry employees keep a constant vigil with many testing procedures. Bloomfield Foundry prides itself on its efficiency in the molding and pouring area. The large, well-lighted and highly-ventilated central work area helps to promote employee safety. The molding and pouring area at Bloomfield Foundry is geared for high production. Hunter 10, Hunter 20, and Jolt-squeeze molding machines produce green sand molds. The entire pouring operation is approached with exacting care and preparation. Precise weighing of materials in charging is a must. Testing at regular intervals with a TJA Spectrometer and a Leeds and Northrup Tec-tip ensure that the exact specifications of the customer are met every time.
